The engraving is based on the old chapel in Grimaux, in the south of France,
but the characters are entirely imaginary. On the inside surface a pair of young lovers embrace.
We are left to guess at the feelings of the young celbate piest who observes them. He is on the
outside surface, as if the thickness of the glass stands between his world and theirs.
In the background beyond the church two little boys kick a football around.
Engraved on the inside and outside back surfaces.
