A scene on a river bank in eastern Rajasthan. The
subject was suggested by the beginning of a story by
Rabindranath Tagore. A young woman is embarking on
a pilgrimage by boat with her father. Her young son, who
is to be left behind in the care of an elderly relative, begs
to be allowed to go with his mother and grandfather.
